One doesn't often hear of a blues artist working out of Montana, but the Big Sky state has a real deal blues player in the form of Mike Bader. Bader's musical style is influenced by rhythm and blues, a little Latin and reggae, with a very soulful edge. If you enjoy quality blues, pick this CD up, you won't be disappointed.

This is definitely one of the better indie releases of the year and Bader has my respect and support for a job well done. I cannot overstate the importance of a group/CD like this in keeping the Blue flame burning. We need people like Mike Bader to keep the music going and to also establish a standard to which others can aspire.

This excellent singer-guitarist comes to us from Montana. …the lead guitar of Mike Bader is crystal clear…. A CD that all the readers of Blues & Co should come to acquire.
---BLUES & CO MAGAZINE (FRANCE)
All original material, the eleven cuts on this album were anchored by the blues and influenced by styles including R & B, jazz and reggae, with slick arrangements, solid vocals, and meaningful lyrics. Bader is known for his infectious energy during live shows, and that energy could scarcely be harnessed on Clearcut Case of the Blues.
---BOZONE.COM (Montana)
"Clearcut," which is Bader's first solo album, features 11 cuts that are grounded in the blues but would also appeal to fans of other styles. Several songs seamlessly blend styles such as reggae and Cajun music.
