The Mike Bader Band is becoming better known on the festival and special event scene in the Northwest. In 2008 we’re on the bill for the U of M Bluezfest, 17th Lochsa Whitewater Rendezvous, 31st Annual Int’l Wildlife Film Festival, 9th Annual Mt. Helena Music Festival, 15th Annual Ritzville Blues Festival, SkiTown Rugby Tournament, 3rd Annual River City Roots Festival, Art & Jazz on Broadway Festival and more! Featuring the material from Matches My Feelings, plus some brand new songs, the band is in fine form, particularly with the addition of Vance Walstra on keyboards. The surge in gasoline prices has definitely taken a toll on our travel schedule, with less club shows in the mix and shorter travel distances. It’s hard for both the venues and the bands to deal with. The live music scene is evolving as always and nobody knows for sure what’s next. One thing that is for sure is that there are some really good independent bands out there that deserve your support.
