Born in 1958 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Mike Bader got his first electric guitar when he was 12 and by 1971 he was playing in a band at paying gigs. As a teenager he saw and met several of the great blues players, inspiring a lifelong love of the blues. He played in bands with Iowa guitarist Craig Erickson throughout the 1970s until 1981 when he relocated to the Northern Rockies. Residing in Missoula, Montana, Bader released his first album, Clearcut Case of the Blues, in 2004. He travels regularly throughout the Northern Rockies and Midwest states playing clubs and festivals.
